A German Wedding

Nora and Peter are German, so from Switzerland to Germany we went to celebrate their wedding!

I love Nora like the sister I never had, and was almost as excited for this wedding as I was my own. If you asked me on this particular day, I probably was more excited than I was for my own. I LOVE people finding love. Their person. Their partner. Especially when that person is one of my favorite people on the planet.

Nora had the awesome idea (since they kept the wedding VERY small and private) to create a “guest directory”, since there were so few of us, from so many different periods and places from Nora and Peter’s life, and no one really knew anyone except for the immediate family. I only knew one other person there (and Adam none, to include this trip was his first time even meeting Peter!), and it was a friend of Nora’s, Romy, that I met for a night out when I was visiting Nora in 2006! This guest directory was left on our reception tables, and they were used as conversation starters between strangers.

Adam’s garnered the most attention from his time working in Hawaii :)

Me, Romy, and Nora…reunited again, 12 years later. So much more grown up than our shenanigans in Marburg in 2006!
