Despite the weather (we are talking wind, rain, thunder, and lightning) and missing their peak, Allyson came to visit and we ventured down to Washington DC in hopes of capturing some of the beauty of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. It was a trip well worth it, as the weather seemed to hold at bay for the afternoon, and we logged on a good 4-5 miles tromping around the National Green taking in the sites.
