St. Baldrick's Hawaii

One month from today, my beloved co-workers/friends from Hawaii will be hosting the 2nd Annual Hawaii St. Baldrick's Event! I am so proud that our event last year was SO SUCCESSFUL! We raised over $100,000 and had over 200 people shave. This all organized by 5-6 hardworking people! I am so deeply saddened that I will not be able to attend this year, as I am in a new job and have no leave accrued to use, and work will not let me take leave without pay. Ugh! They have started posting pictures from last year's event to stir up excitement for this year's event, and the submissions are pouring in...many of which I have never seen. It brought tears to my eyes (ok, and down my cheeks, soaking my shirt) reminiscing about the amazingness of everyone that participated. The love, the courage, the bravery, the dedication, compassion, and selflessness demonstrated that day....it is overwhelming to the heart. My heart and soul still almost explodes just thinking about it.
