Hello, we are the Mayers.

We are a couple who are passionate about living a meaningful life filled with awesome relationships with real people, exploring new cultures/cities/countries in this huge yet small world, eating incredible food, and experiencing all the things that life has to offer.

The Festivities

Ahhh, I have been enjoying having my husband home for the last two weeks, after his stint in Abu Dhabi! We enjoyed our first weekend with him trying to overcome the jetlag and just being together. We spoiled ourselves with a two-hour couples massage (so highly recommended!), dinner out with friends visiting the city, and overall laying low. The Baltimore City Farmer's Market also opened that weekend, so we ventured up for browse around and to sample some tasty treats. I fully recognize that one would not think that Baltimore would be a great place for such a market, but man oh man do they nail it...sandwiched in between the Amish farmers from Pennsylvania, the seafood and ranches of Maryland, and the farms of Virginia, it's awesome. I have been waiting for this ALL winter!
Last weekend was Easter weekend and our sister Amy's birthday (28 years old!!!), so we ventures up to Johnstown to celebrate. Of course, the first stop on our way back is always Sheetz, so Adam can get his fill of Sheetz food and their lime iced tea. Saturday was spent hanging out with Adam's parents and brother, as well as prepping for the first feast on Easter Eve. The great aunts, Aunt Rita and Aunt Midge, always come for dinner the evening before, and we enjoy some pre-feast cocktails. Adam's newest obsession has been mastering the art of making an Old-Fashioned, and he was SO EXCITED to take this new craft back to PA to show his little brother Michael. Like a kid in a candy store...for adults.

Easter Sunday was spent examing our Easter baskets, going to morning Mass, and heading out to Uncle Kevin and Aunt Teri's house for the Adams' family Easter dinner, just like we use to with Gram and Pap.
Happy Easter!

Happy Birthday Amy and Greyson!
And this marvelous weekend has been spent enjoying a happy hour, attending a Juniata alumni event at Johns Hopkins, a farewell to a friend moving back to Ireland, and cooking up a storm because I am in the mood.
I hope this finds everyone having a wonderful transition into Spring!
