The Road to Redwood
From Yosemite to Redwood:
We spent a day in Sacramento, a fairly non-descript city with a decent brewery scene. We very much enjoyed Fieldwork Brewing Company and Big Stump Brewing Company, and had a really good lunch at Lowbrau Bierhalle.
After this stop, we ventured north to Fort Bragg, starting on Coastal Highway 1 just north of San Francisco. It was an absolutely GORGEOUS drive. Beautiful coastal views, cliffsides, and so many flowers. We stopped for an AMAZING lunch at Trinks, which I HIGHLY recommend you take the time to do, if you ever find yourself on the same route.
Once laid over in Ft. Bragg, we enjoyed an evening beach walk along Pomo Bluffs, where we were highly entertained by the sea lions and sea otters.
From Ft. Bragg, we continued northward toward Oregon, transitioning from Highway 1 to Highway 101, to stay close to the beautiful California coast as we headed towards Oregon. So many scenic stops along the way, to include Elk! We enjoyed stops for a flight at Redwood Curtain Brewery, and a later flight and growler fill at Port O Pint Brewery.
