Hello, we are the Mayers.

We are a couple who are passionate about living a meaningful life filled with awesome relationships with real people, exploring new cultures/cities/countries in this huge yet small world, eating incredible food, and experiencing all the things that life has to offer.

Dogfish Head Brewery

It finally happened...my beloved husband has turned 30! YAY! I am no longer the only one :)
Since moving back to the East Coast Adam has really gotten into beer tasting and the idea of brewing, he loves trying all sorts of new beers and learning about them. One of his favorites is Midas Touch by Dogfish Head Brewery, but he loves a significant portion of all of their brews. The weekend after his birthday we ended up with a random Saturday with no plans...*SHOCK* I know, we were surprised as well.  So we decided that we wanted to take a nice stroll on the beach, since we have been seriously homesick for Hawaii, and off to Delaware we went. It turns out that Dogfish Head is close to Rehobeth  Beach so we decided to stop it. The fun part was that they have a 6 month waiting list for the brewery tour, but not 10 minutes after we arrived they had spots open up and we got in on the tour...YAY! It was an awesome experience, and Adam came home with 3 cases of beer. We also went to the original brew pub where they got started and it was delicious. The end of the day was spent meandering on Rehobeth Beach and rescuing scary turtle from the middle of the road. If you ever have the chance, I would highly recommend this venture...I don't even like beer and it was one of my favorite times of the summer!
