Italy: San Daniele & Cividale
The bride and groom organized a week’s worth of activities, to make things easy for their guests traveling SO far, and they definitely spoiled us. They organized a luxury tour bus to take us from Udine to San Daniele and Cividale, to experience these Italian heritage sites, and add tasty treats in between.
Our first venture out of Udine was to the adorable town of San Daniele. The first stop was The House of Prosciutto (La Casa del Prosciutto) of Albeteri 1906, and was Adam’s happiest place on earth. Oh dear God, and the charcuterie spread that we EACH got, including the kiddos.
We also had the benefit of local tour guide to explore the town.
The next adventure was to explore the UNESCO town of Cividale, which was stunningly beautiful with all of the stonework! Again, our explorations aided by a local tour guide.
After exploring the city, we were wisked away to a wine tasting at Colli di Poianis, which was beyond words. A beautiful vineyard estate and winery tour, incredible wine, and another delicious charcuterie spread. The winemaker is one of Leo’s (the groom) good friends, and we were spoiled by this connection.
